About the MRDD

The Microbicide Research and Development Database (MRDD) provides comprehensive and current information on microbicide candidate products, clinical trials, and supportive research. The database is updated both quarterly and as changes occur to products and trials.

How to Use the MRDD

1. The MRDD is external to the main Alliance website. When accessed from the main website, the MRDD will launch in a new browser.
2. All features and contents of the MRDD are publicly accessible. General users are not required to log-in or obtain a user name and password to search, browse, or download reports from the database.
3. On the taskbar on the top, roll your mouse over the down arrow to the right of 'Candidate Products,' and select 'Candidate Product Search.'
4. Either search for a specific product, or select 'View All Candidate Products.'
5. After selecting a product to view, information on the product profile, clinical trial status, and relevant publications are accessible.

Please note: Researchers and developers of products should contact Alliance Writer/Research Associate Stephanie Tillman to request adminstrative access to the MRDD for the purpose of updating product and trial information stored in the database.

Monthly Pipeline Reports

Microbicide pipeline tables that summarize information on ongoing and planned trials featured in the MRDD are posted to the Alliance website at the beginning of every month. Visit Microbicide Pipeline to view this month's clinical and preclinical summary reports.
