As Office Manager, Lois Holston is responsible for Alliance administration, which includes providing ongoing support to staff and the Director and Deputy Director. Ms. Holston also helps manage internal and off-site meetings and events and acts as liaison between the Alliance and outside vendors. Lois holds a BS degree in Psychology from Virginia State University. Immediately after obtaining her degree, Lois worked at the Southwestern Virginia Training Center for the Mentally Retarded, where she worked directly with severely and profoundly retarded adult males teaching self-help skills. Lois later worked at Intelsat, a satellite communications company, as Executive Assistant to the Director of Flight Dynamics and administrative assistant to an Engineering and Scientific Group. In this current fight against HIV/AIDS, Lois is impressed and appreciates the efforts undertaken by the Alliance to equip women with tools to protect themselves from HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases and would like to make some contribution to this fight.
